Objective:

The clutch disk is used at the wind powered station for the transmission of the torque from the wing’s edge to the generator. Thereby high torque has to be transmitted while the clutch simultaneously balances the variation of propulsion and downthrust.

 

Solution:

A CFK structure with tangential fiber direction is used for the transmission of the torque. The wall thickness can be relatively thin and therefore a local bending of the structure is possible. The local bearing stress is reduced due to the application of the power lead-in elements out of glass mats.
