Objective:
Compared to Prepreg cheaper production of I-beams. Furthermore better total quality management and higher reproducibility in component properties.
Solution:
Manufacture of the preform by using TFP-Technique and impregnation by RTM. The variation range of the preform mass is lower than +/-0,3 %. and the range of breaking load (four point bending test) is lower than +/-1 %. A distinct reduction of manufacture cost was realised compared to Prepreg.
Currently we producing about 160 I-Beams per year in series.
